1000 Words is interested in seeing new or previously unpublished photographic work yet we are a small, not-for-profit organisation and at this point can no longer accept unsolicited submissions.

However, to receive specific feedback or to be considered for a feature in 1000 Words please sign up for portfolio review consultations that happen year round in London. Sessions are frank and informal and geared towards offering photographers the following:

  • Critique of creative output
  • The practical and conceptual vision needed to help attain your goals and develop further photographic and curatorial projects
  • Assistance with portfolio presentation and approaches to potential outlets in the editorial, publishing and gallery markets
  • Resources to help enhance your research

At £45, they last one hour and take the form of a one-to-one session with the Editor in Chief, Tim Clark.
